Program 3 addresses regulatory challenges by working with government partners to translate research into policy and practice, co-producing knowledge on licensing, safety, certification, public health, and legal issues in rural and remote areas.

    About

Program 3 further builds the business case for the adoption of AVs in rural and regional regions, exploring the drivers for accelerating market development for AVs, evaluating both demand and supply factors, such as supply chain innovation, diffusion, and adoption barriers and enablers. It complements Programs 1&2 to accelerate research translation through collaboration and cross-cluster learning between key automation stakeholders (research, government, corporates, entrepreneurs and risk capital), and a transformative governance approach to address potential core-periphery power dynamics.
